Valkyrie teaser and poster

The clip starts with a wide shot which establishes the setting. For the next 30 seconds we continue to see a range of high shots which shows how vulnerable they are because they are so isolated. The transition between these shots were slow to begin with but by the time we see the plane overhead the speed of the transitions were faster and sometimes they were not used. This technique adds a sense of urgency to the trailer.

Over the three shots of someone getting dressed you can hear a heart beating and the heartbeat is then used to edit the shots. The shots cuts in time to the beat.

I thought the reason for shooting this particular scene from different angles while zooming in at the same time, is to show a new development in the story. At the end of these three shots the mood of the clip changes. We hear a fuse then a ticking starts adding a sense of urgency, the scene then starts to change in time to the ticking. The tempo of the ticking changes when we see the leads’ family, he then says “If I fail”. Its almost as if he is saying his finial goodbye and that time is running out.
